Deputy Governor of the Eastern Region visits the Electronic Applications Exhibition and honors the winners.
His Royal Highness Prince Ahmed bin Fahad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Region, honored the members of the Evaluation Committee and the winners of the best application awards in the electronic applications exhibition, which was organized by Asharqia Chamber on Tuesday and Wednesday 8 and 9 May 2018 at the main headquarter.
His Highness the Prince Ahmed visited the last day of the exhibition, where he was briefed on its activities. He also reviewed the participating pavilions, which reached 50 participants applications. His Highness also handed over the prizes of SR 100 thousand allocated by the Chamber for the top 10 applications.
The Chairman of Asharqia Chamber, Mr. Abdul-Hakim Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi and Secretary-General of the Chamber, Mr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel, briefed Prince Ahmed on the applications and how they work, in addition to the Chamber's services provided to subscribers, and highlights its achievements.
His Highness expressed his admiration for the exhibition and its contribution to young Saudi men and women. He praised the creative ideas of young men and women that contribute to covering the need of the local market to provide services.
He also directed participants to be inspired, determined and creative and continue to accomplish achievements by developing their work and ideas and being keen to communicate with the client who benefits from the application services, which is a source of inspiration for the owner of the application.
He honored the members of the Evaluation Committee that are Ahmed Al Muhaideb, Board Member, Ibrahim Al-Alshaikh, a Member of the Board of Directors, Bassil Al-Dosari, member of the Communications and Information Technology Committee,
Abdul Aziz Al Hammadi, member of the Communications and Information Technology Committee of the Chamber, and Fahd Al Qahtani, Director of the SME Development Center.
HH Prince Ahmed honored the winning application; they are OLO, Ketabi, Ifhas, Oleh Zone, Fanzir, magsalah, MUKI, Bytecode, Zid, and munjez.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, appreciated the visit of the Deputy prince of the Eastern Region. He stressed that it reflects the concerns of the governors and their efforts for their brothers and their sons citizens while raising their ability in leadership and creativity. He pointed out that the prince is personally interested in contributing to everything that would support the business sector, pioneers and business leaders in the region.
Al-Khalidi said that HH visited all participants and listened to their most important future plans in this field. He pointed out that the participants came out with great enthusiasm and a distinctive impression after the visit.
Al-Khalidi also thanked the members of the Evaluation Committee, the participants and the organizing team. He stressed that the Chamber will continue its work with enthusiasm to provide initiatives that serve the business sector and pioneers and entrepreneurs.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Deputy Minister of Commerce and Investment, Majid Al-Bawardi, with the participation of 50 electronic applications presented by their owners from several regions in the Kingdom including the Eastern Province (Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Medina, Riyadh, Jeddah).
The exhibition had different parts and corners, which offered applications in two categories (general) and (specialized) in the provision of services such as transportation, party planning, food delivery, sale and rental of books, as well as travel, and livestock applications. Some of the applications develop some life skills such as diving skills and the like that.
The exhibition also held a seminar entitled, "The Role of Electronic Applications in Business Success", which was attended by specialists in the e-business sector.
